Mothers Day Coasters

So.. with it being March and Mother's Day is in 3 days I decided to make my mum something for a gift.... credit crunch and all that.. besides, it means more when you make it right? Anyway last week I got excited about making coasters out of bathroom tiles and I happened to send my mum a photo and she liked it... so I decided to make her a set. She said they would look good with old style paintings on so that's what I made (she doesn't know yet I've made her any!). II printed some pictures and Mod podged them to some bathroom tiles. I then used Mod Podge over the top and let it dry over night before spraying them with sealant. I found a post-it note holder to use as a coaster holder. I backed the coasters with some craft foam (I tried felt but it was messy.... foam worked better). I hope she likes them. I will try and get a picture up here too!

Hello and welcome to my blog.

I am new to blogging and this whole concept. I'm not sure how often I will be able to update or what random chat I will be adding but I am hoping to update this regularly with any new crafty designs and ideas I am testing out at the time. Once I've got the hang of things I may even add pictures and things too.... i'm not too old yet and will get used to it i'm sure :)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your visit and feel free to email me with any questions, suggestions or ideas you may have. I will also have my shop up and running soon but in the meantime I will hopefully get some of my items on ebay shortly.
